QR1 and QR2 steering wheel quick releases now SFI Spec 42.1 Approved

SPA Technique is proud to announce that we have submitted both our QR1 and QR2 steering wheel quick releases to the SFI Foundation for testing for SFI Spec 42.1 approval and all of them passed and are now approved. Some info on two of the tests. Load to release, SFI requires it to be 35lbs or less and of the three the highest was 10lbs. Another test was Operation test which was the time to completely release from the hub, take the steering wheel off the steering shaft. Maximum time allowed is 3 seconds all three SPA quick releases where at 0.5 of a second. So now for those that need an SFI Spec 42.1 approved quick release you have your choice of the SPA QR1-1-4130, QR1-5-4130 & QR2-4130.
