International Media recognizes new SPA Fire System |
SPA's new Extreme Fire System wins 2 Global Media Awards at the 2009 SEMA Show. The awards represent the Best New Product in the Performance Racing section of the SEMA Show, as voted on by the International media.
The Extreme system, which uses Novec 1230 by 3M as a suppressant, was recognized for its 'GREEN' approach to motorsports. The system has zero ozone depletion, which includes a 5-day atmospheric life,and is non-toxic, making it safe for the driver. Another aspect that impressed the judges was the fact the Novec is 100% safe on all electronics and leaves no residue for cleanup.
The Extreme system is FIA homologated and is scheduled to be SFI certified by years end.
